YA Book Review : Lemmings and Snowflakes

Ive completed my first book of August and from My YALC TBR purchases in my favourite place for my fibromyalgia the hot tub .

Are we all lemmings and snowflakes is a definite ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This was my most anticipated to buy at YALC and WOW did it live up to my expectations and more. I was also lucky enough to get it signed by Holly.

Everything in this book was so true and inspiring. It made me laugh and cry. The mental Health coverage of OCD,Anxiety,Bipolar and Depression was amazing in the opinion of me (someone who has been through many of them).

Sophie and Olive were probably my most relatable characters in terms of how i used to act and feel. I also loved Olives sarcasm and voice throughout.

Holly covered all the topics with maturity and realism.

The Kindness campaign as well as a feature in the book is amazing as not enough people are kind enough and accepting ect.

I am recovered now and enjoying my life again and to read this book and read olive’s journey through her MH but also the other characters was heartwarming and emotional but also gripped me from the first line right to the last. Holly showed that everyone deals with diagnosis differently but there no wrong or right and recovery is possible.

Everybody should read this book to have an understanding of peoples emotions and get  an  insight into living with any mh condition. Also highlighting that KINDNESS and prevention is key.

I loved this book so so much.

  1. Can’t wait to read this one! My upcoming novel (CURSED) is an early diagnosis story too. So this book seems like a good companion. Thanks for the review! P.S. Doesn’t your doggie get in the hot tub with you ; )
