YA Book Review : My so called Bollywood life

Hi,

I was very lucky to receive a gifted copy of this wonderful  ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5 read by Nisha Sharma  as part of the blog tour.

I absolutely love this book!. I had  heard a lot of hype about it, but never got to pick it up , so I am very thankful for this push to finally read it.

Its great to read about a different culture and religion exploring romance as it brings up the issue of family dynamics and friendships , as well as acceptance thus creating diversity within ya literature.

In particular i liked the fact Winnie was a movie reviewer, as its what we do just for a different media, so i automatically created a bond with her.

From the first chapter this book was hilarious in the humour between friends Winnie and  Bridget as well as the flirtation between her and Raj and Dev. This love triangle was great to read and I was 100% rooting for Dev throughout as i didn’t like Raj”s attitude.

Winnie’s dream sections in the book were a very unique aspect of the novel and created a great atmosphere where we got to see how Winnie views her life through her favourite movies, actors and quotes from them as well as the prophecy.

Lastly, It was such a light hearted and fun read  which i wizzed through in 2 days, so i would definitely recommend it to get out of a reading slump or just to make you happy as i found my cheeks hurting a lot from smiling.

Thanks for reading, if you enjoyed this i’d appreciate any likes, comments or follows. Have you read this book?
